SJWS kicks off the season by heading south of the border for “The World of Mariachi,” a fiesta of Latin-flavored music including Copland’s El Salon Mexico and Texidor’s Amparito Roca. Our soloist is the Wind Symphony’s own Christopher Wilhite, performing Mendez’s classic, La Virgin de la Macarena.

‘Tis the season to be jolly — so come join in the merry-making at this sparkling holiday concert. Mayes narrates a musical setting of The Night Before Christmas.

“Fantasic Fourth:
The World of the Brave”

Help celebrate our nation’s birthday with a good, old-fashioned concert in the park. Join SJWS for an afternoon of marches, popular tunes and patriotic songs, capped off by a rousing Stars and Stripes Forever. This concert is free, so arrive early with blankets, chairs and plenty of sunscreen.
