Let there be lighT!

Last year, we dedicated our entire season to finding a worthy successor to retiring maestro Dr. Edward C. Harris. From a talented pool of applicants, we offered four finalists the chance to conduct an entire SJWS concert.

All of the candidates were outstanding, but one stood out. Introducing the new Music and Artistic Director of the San Jose Wind Symphony, Dr. David Vickerman.

Dr. Vickerman is only the third conductor in the storied 65-year history of SJWS. We’re excited to bring you our first season under his baton — “Illuminations.” Each concert shines the spotlight on a variety of captivating works, from perennial favorites to modern classics.

As the song says, this could be the start of something big!

SEASON SUBSCRIPTIONS

Now that COVID-19 has abated and things are becoming a bit more normal, this season we are reviving our popular Season Ticket option. One season ticket entitles the purchaser to attend all four subscription concerts at McAfee Center. Season tickets are $80 general and $60 senior. With each paid season ticket, you may order one child ticket (age 12 and under) for no additional charge.

Individual Concerts

Ticket prices to individual concerts are $22 general, $17 senior, $7 student. For all concerts, you may order one free child ticket (age 12 and under) for each paid general or senior ticket.
