The San José Wind Symphony is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit community wind ensemble based in San José, California. You can reach us at:

• Concert alerts. If you join our concert alerts list, we collect your email address and, if you provide it, your first name and age range. This list is managed through Mailchimp.
• Tickets and donations. Purchases and donations are processed by our ticketing provider (VBO Tickets). Payment and contact details you enter there are collected by that provider under its own privacy policy; we receive the information needed to fulfill your order and acknowledge your gift.
• Audition applications. Audition form responses are collected through Google Forms and are subject to Google’s privacy policy.
• Site usage. If you accept analytics cookies, we collect standard usage information (pages visited, approximate location, device type) through Google Analytics.

• Sending concert announcements, program notes, and ticket reminders.
• Processing and fulfilling ticket purchases and donations.
• Responding to your questions and requests.
• Understanding how the site is used so we can improve it.
• Measuring the effectiveness of our advertising, if you accept advertising cookies.

We do not sell your personal information for money, and we do not share it except with the service providers listed below who help us operate.

Cookies are small files stored in your browser. We group them into three categories:

• Necessary — always on. Required for core site functions, including remembering your own cookie choices.
• Performance and Analytics. Google Analytics cookies that help us count visits and see which pages are useful. They load only if you turn this category on.
• Advertising. Cookies from advertising services such as the Meta (Facebook) pixel and Google Ads, which measure our campaigns. Third-party embeds on this site — the season video, ticket office, donation form, and audition form — also follow this setting. They load only if you turn this category on or choose to load an individual embed.

You can change your choices at any time using the cookie settings link in the footer of every page.

• VBO Tickets — ticket sales and donations.
• Mailchimp — concert alerts email list.
• Google Forms — audition applications.
• YouTube — the season video on our home page (loaded in privacy-enhanced mode unless you accept advertising cookies).
• Google Analytics — site usage statistics (only with your consent).

Each of these providers processes information under its own privacy policy.

If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, to request that we delete or correct it, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information. We do not sell personal information; any “sharing” for advertising measurement happens only if you accept advertising cookies, and you can withdraw that choice at any time through the cookie settings.

Every concert alert email includes an unsubscribe link. You can also email info@sjws.org and we will remove you from the list.

This site is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

We may update this notice as the site or the law changes. The “last updated” date above reflects the most recent revision.
